Who doesn’t like bacon? Not counting vegetarians, of course, but I still think they WOULD like bacon if they could eat it. There is a local Italian restaurant that serves a spinach salad with a warm bacon dressing, and I fell in love. I just HAD to try to make it here at the house. I Google’d the name, and I decided to base my first attempt on Alton Brown’s recipe at Foodnetwork.com
I titled this post Spinach Salad with Warm Bacon Dressing (Attempt 1) because I actually didn’t like the final dish. I found it to be too acidic, yet at the same time, too sweet. I plan on making it again and tweaking the ingredients. With that said, here’s what I made. [Read more...]
